Privacy Policy: ExportIn

ExportIn is a Chrome extension published by tonoïd (Simo Elalj). It exports your LinkedIn connections and Facebook friends, with their birthdays and contact details, to files on your computer. This policy describes the data the extension processes and the services it contacts.

Summary

• tonoïd collects no personal data.
• No account is required.
• No telemetry, no cookies, no trackers, no AI service.
• Everything the extension reads stays in your browser until you export a file yourself.

Data processed

The extension only runs when you press Start, Sync or Check for changes in its panel. It then reads, from your own LinkedIn and Facebook sessions:

• On LinkedIn: your connections' names, headlines, profile links and the date you connected, then what each connection shares in their Contact info panel: email, phone, birthday, website, address, Twitter and messaging handles. With the matching options on, it also reads their company, location, number of connections and About section.
• On Facebook: your friends' names, profile links, photos, birthdays (with the birth year when the friend shares it), gender and number of mutual friends.
• Profile photos, only when you press Save photos.

To replay Facebook's own requests, the extension watches the GraphQL requests the Facebook page sends while a collection runs. It keeps them in memory in that tab only, never writes them to disk and never sends them anywhere.

This is personal data about other people. Once you export it, into a CRM or to an AI service, you are responsible for it under the GDPR and similar laws.

Recipients

The extension contacts only the sites the data comes from, with your own session. None of them is operated by tonoïd.

No request is sent to a server operated by tonoïd. ExportIn has no server.

The Report a problem link opens a GitHub issue page in your browser with a prefilled report. That report holds counters only: extension version, network, interface language and how many requests succeeded. It never contains a name, an identifier or a record, and nothing is sent until you submit the issue yourself on GitHub.

Local storage

• chrome.storage.local holds the contacts collected, your settings and the progress of a running collection, so a later sync only fetches what changed.
• IndexedDB holds the profile photos you saved.

This data remains on your device and is never transmitted to tonoïd.

Cookies and trackers

The extension sets no cookies and uses no advertising or analytics trackers.

Your rights

Under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have rights of access, rectification and erasure.

Since tonoïd retains no personal data, these rights are exercised locally. Clear stored data, in the Export menu, deletes everything collected for one network. Reset everything, at the top of the panel, deletes both networks, the photos and the settings. Uninstalling the extension from chrome://extensions deletes all of it.
