Privacy Policy — Immodex

Last updated: May 14, 2026

Immodex is a Chrome extension published by tonoïd (Simo Elalj). This policy describes the data the extension processes and the third-party services it contacts.

Summary

  • tonoïd collects no personal data.
  • No account is required.
  • No telemetry, no cookies, no trackers.
  • All processing happens locally in your browser; the only outbound requests go to public APIs operated by the French government.

Data processed

The extension only runs while you are actively viewing a real-estate listing on Leboncoin, Bienici or SeLoger, or when you open its popup to perform a manual search.

When triggered, it reads — from the page being viewed, or from the fields you fill in:

  • the postal code of the listing;
  • the surface area (living area or cadastral area);
  • the DPE energy and GES (greenhouse-gas) ratings, where available;
  • the DPE date, when provided (optional);
  • the cadastral section and parcel number, where available.

This information is already public on the listing page or in the public registries. No personal information about you (name, email, account identifier, IP address collected by tonoïd) is read or transmitted.

Recipients

To perform the lookup, the extension sends the criteria above to the following public APIs, none of which are operated by tonoïd:

ServiceDomainPurpose
ADEME DPE registrydata.ademe.frMatch a DPE certificate against the criteria
IGN cadastre (apicarto)apicarto.ign.frMatch a cadastral parcel against the surface area
Etalab Géo APIgeo.api.gouv.frResolve a postal code to an INSEE code
French national address database (BAN)api-adresse.data.gouv.frReverse-geocode a parcel to an address

These services are made available free of charge by the French government through the data.gouv.fr platform. Their own terms apply to these calls. No request is sent to a server operated by tonoïd.

Local storage

The extension uses the browser's chrome.storage APIs to cache responses from the public APIs locally, in order to limit repeated requests:

  • chrome.storage.session — one-hour cache, automatically cleared when the browser closes (INSEE resolutions, reverse geocoding, DPE results).
  • chrome.storage.local — twenty-four-hour cache for cadastre results, whose underlying data changes slowly.

These caches remain on your device and are never transmitted to tonoïd.

Cookies and trackers

The extension sets no cookies and uses no advertising or analytics trackers.

Your rights

Under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have rights of access, rectification and erasure.

Since tonoïd retains no personal data, these rights are exercised locally: uninstalling the extension from the chrome://extensions page in your browser clears all of its caches.
