For sale2007

RefurbMe

The largest Apple refurbished comparator. For sale, looking for a new owner.

RefurbMe

Problem solved

Refurbished Apple gear is scattered across dozens of retailers, each with its own taxonomy, grading language, and pricing cadence. Shoppers can't tell which deal is actually a deal, and a lot of perfectly good hardware gets replaced instead of reused.

Value proposition

One normalized catalog of certified refurbished iPhones, MacBooks, iPads, AirPods, iMacs, and Apple Watches, pulled from certified resellers like Apple, Amazon Renewed, and Back Market. Side-by-side condition grades, warranty info, price history, and free price alerts, so shoppers buy with confidence and fewer devices end up as e-waste.

Target audience

Value-driven consumers who want current-gen Apple hardware at a fair price, plus sustainability-minded buyers who'd rather extend a device's life than buy new.

Business model

Affiliate revenue, paid when shoppers click through and buy at partner retailers. No inventory, no support queues, no returns to handle. Operates in 7 countries and has facilitated millions of sales for its merchants.

Tech stack

  • Nuxt 2 on Vue.js
  • MongoDB for products and price history
  • RabbitMQ workers, one per retailer

Status

For sale and looking for a new owner to take it to the next level. Started in 2007 as a side project (I was 15, trying to buy a refurbished MacBook Pro at 2am) and grew into the largest Apple refurbished comparator. Profitable, live, and stable. Serious buyers welcome via hello@tonoid.com.
